Help: Blood and Chaos is part of an ongoing series and journey that started thirty years ago. While making a conventional style landscape quilt it occurred to me that there was something interesting happening with the pile of scraps sitting on my cutting table. Before I could stop myself, I sat at the machine and started stitching those raw edge bits and pieces onto a background fabric. It brought me joy to be able to save these small leftovers and make them useful instead of ending up in a plastic bag in a landfill. Over the years, the technique has evolved and has become more abstract, but the original idea has endured. While I work in other styles, this is the one that gives me the most satisfaction.
